Judging by the photo, the transparent top will stretch from the windshield at least as far as the second-row seat backs. It is officially 1.33 x 0.84 meters (52 x 32.8 inches) large and has an area of over 1 square meter (10.7 square feet).
The new Espace will represent a bigger modification of the Renault Austral SUV and come with tow and three seat rows to choose between. At 4.72 meters (184 inches) long, it will be slightly smaller on the outside than the minivan it replaces, but at the same time offer more interior space.
Our assumption is that, being based on the Austral platform with four-wheel steering and other features included, the Espace will also utilize the same engine range. The SUV that premiered last spring came with a variety of hybrid powertrains rated up to 200 horsepower (150 kilowatts).
