The French automaker has introduced the next generation of the Kangoo LCV, offering it in an all-electric E-TECH version among others.
The new model is only available as a commercial minivan so far, which comes equipped with a 44-kWh battery and an electric motor giving it 102 PS (100 hp / 75 kW) of thrust. WLTP-rated range is estimated at 265 km, or 164 miles.
It remains to be announced how much cargo the Kangoo EV may take on board, but its gas-powered twin can lift 800 kg (1,760 lbs). What is more interesting, however, is that you can charge it from a three-phase socket using a 22-kW charger. This can replenish 80% of the battery within mere two hours. More powerful charging options are also available via dedicated EV charging terminals, Renault says.
