Renault has officially introduced the facelifted version of its Kwid hatchback for India. The update brings along exterior and cabin improvements, but little new tech.
The 2020 Kwid sports redesigned bumpers all around, new taillights, and the same two-tier headlights as its Chinese counterpart, the K-ZE. Depending on your chosen configuration, roof railings and plastic door guards may or may not be present.
Inside, the instrument panel is new, the center air blowers have been reshaped, and the steering wheel also boasts a slightly different design. The equipment now includes ABS + EBD, a rear parking sensor, and an 8-inch infotainment system with advanced functionality.
The engines stay the same. In India, the model still ships with three-cylinder gasoline engines rated at 54 and 68 horsepower (40 and 50 kilowatts, respectively). Manual transmission is available for both versions, while the automatic one is restricted to the 68hp/50kW variant.
The range will be available in eight different trim configurations, with prices starting at 283,290 Indian Rupees (~4,000 USD). This is 7,290 Rupees (102 USD) above the previous generation.
