Renault may have lost all hope to rise and shine in the Formula One series again, but the French manufacturer still builds what amounts to class-leading compact cars. Therefore, it shouldn’t be surprising that H&R decided to release a couple of lowering kits for the latest Megane RS Trophy.
A fixed-height H&R lowering spring kit will set you back €324 and reduce the ride height by 35 millimeters (1.4 inches) on both axles. The lower center of gravity will translate into better curving performance while also lending your hot hatch a sportier exterior.
A set of height-adjustable H&R springs (coilovers) comes with a hefty €1,248 price tag. In return, you get the opportunity to adjust the lowering amount in the 20 – 40 mm (0.8” – 1.6”) range with surgical precision. This looks like a nice option for those who like an occasional race or two, but prefer softer, taller suspension for everyday driving.
Aside from the above, H&R also ships its signature Trak+ wheel spacers for the model (starting at €45 per axle). You can use these to fine-tune the positions of both standard and aftermarket wheels in their arches.
