Toyota is not the only carmaker in the world interested in hydrogen-powered means of transportation. Renault has just posted the first image of its upcoming concept car burning the world’s lightest gas. The reveal is set for May 2022.
Details aren’t there yet, but the French company says it is a crossover SUV powered by an internal combustion engine that combusts hydrogen instead of gasoline. This sets it apart from Toyota’s fuel cell cars operating on an entirely different principle.
Judging by the only image thus far available, the car has narrow LED headlights and a glowing badge similar to those of the Megane E-Tech Electric (see video). Large DRLs sit where air intakes usually are, and video cameras substitute for side mirrors.
