Renault is bringing the Scenic nameplate back to the market of Europe on a next-gen electric car known as E-Tech. These spy shots allow us to have a first look at the newcomer.
As you can see, the exterior is mainly concealed behind camo and fake body panels distorting the actual proportions. Despite that, there is no mistaking a rather well-rounded front end with a trapezoid opening in its lower part.
The overhangs at both ends are rather short, and there is a spoiler mounted right above the rear window. The taillights are barely visible due to all the cladding.
On the whole, the car resembles the Scenic Vision Concept (see video). That vehicle was introduced with the same electric motor as the Megane E-Tech driving the wheels with 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW). It also used a hydrogen fuel cell array to regenerate power and a 40-kWh traction battery.
The production car is expected to debut in 2024.
