Ever since the first episode came out, the Star Wars saga has managed to attract millions of fans over the entire world. The famous French car maker Renault decided to exploit this opportunity by releasing Zoe, a compact battery-driven car which closely follows the theme of Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece.
The car is going to premiere in the spring of 2017, almost simultaneously with the April release of the next instalment in the Star Wars series which revolves around Han Solo. North American fans will be able to get their Renault Zoe Star Wars cars as early as March. A limited series of just 1,000 cars will be produced, but the manufacturer refuses to name the selling price so far.
What’s unique about the new Renault Zoe Star Wars? Well, there are multiple depictions of Han Solo’s Millenium Falcon spaceship decorating the entire body of the car. Then there are exclusive seventeen-inch wheels and door sill plates, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an infotainment system and a rear view camera.
The car will be shipped with an electric motor whose nominal output, depending on the modification, may constitute 75, 88, or 90 horsepower. The vehicle will be able to travel up to 400 kilometers (125 miles) before complete discharge.
