A look at the new Renault Fluence battery-powered sedan

The new electric sedan Renault Samsung SM3 Z.E. has been demonstrated to the wide public in South Korea. The same vehicle is known internationally as the Renault Fluence. So what’s so special about the newcomer?

To begin with, the car improved its battery capacity all the way to 36 kWh from just 22 at no additional weight gain. It is now driven by a 95 HP power engine and can travel up to 213 kilometers (~132 miles) before depleting its batteries, the manufacturer states.

Buyers in South Korea may choose between two versions of the car, SE and RE. The Standard Edition still gets the ESC System, a set of exclusive 16-inch wheels, LED lights, a full set of safety airbags, a modern multimedia system and other features.

Wealthier buyers may choose to pay for leather-draped interior, rear view cameras and a cruise control system. Prices of the updated

Renault Fluence start at 39,500,000 South Korean won.
