A Rezvani Tank has been posted for sale in Moscow with an asking price of $445,000, which the seller justifies by saying the car is armored and makes 1,100 horsepower.
The off-roader comes based on a Jeep Wrangler frame and allegedly looks the same as the one rapper Xzibit drives. The seller says the car is in snowy Moscow now, but posts photos where it stands against the background of palm trees wearing a Colorado, USA license plate. In other words, caution is advised.
Compared to the Wrangler, the Tank has a different exterior and a 6.2-liter V8 Hellcat transplant from a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The engine enjoys a scope of further performance upgrades to churn out 1,100 hp (1,115 PS / 820 kW).
In its Military Edition guise (see video for an in-depth look), the SUV comes equipped with B7-grade armor all around. It can withstand sustained 7.62-caliber rifle fire and explosions at the bottom. The body largely uses Kevlar armoring and bulletproof glass, while the fuel tank is encased in its own protective capsule. Additional protection is implemented against electronic scanning and chemical attacks. The driver gets some auxiliary lighting and a loudspeaker to communicate with the outside world.
A peek inside the cabin reveals black leather trim and an 11-inch infotainment screen. This particular example was specced with heavy-duty bumpers, a winch that you can control remotely from the cabin, a trailer hook, automatic running boards, and a luxury audio system. The claimed range is around 4,000 miles (6,500 kilometers).
