Rimac hints at a track-only C_Two

The Rimac C_Two, Croatia-made all-electric hypercar that will be unveiled at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland, may later get a racetrack-only performance version.

The corresponding statement was made by Matt Rimac, CEO of the company. If such a modification ever comes out, it will stand a good chance of dethroning the Volkswagen ID.R Concept at the Nürburgring.

The street-legal Rimac C_Two comes powered by quad electric engines and a 120-kWh traction battery. The total output amounts to 1,914 PS (1,888 hp, or 1,408 kW) and 2,300 Nm (1,700 pound-feet) of torque. The NEDC-rated driving range amounts to 650 kilometers (400 miles), and sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes only 1.97 seconds. More spectacularly, getting to 300 km/h (186 mph) is a matter of 11.8 seconds.

Matt Rimac said nothing regarding the specs of the alleged C_Two racecar. It will likely represent a trimmed-down version of its road-going counterpart (no audio, noise proofing, door panels etc.) and pack even more horsepower. The battery size will likely go down to minimize weight and improve acceleration.
