Rivian has shared more information concerning its fully electric pickup truck named the R1T, which is scheduled to go on sale next month.
One of the biggest questions potential buyers had was how large the truck bed was (it was obviously smaller than most full-size trucks). As it now turns out, the bed is 65 inches long and fully insulated/watertight. You can drop the tailgate to extend it to 83.6 inches.
The frunk measures 11 cubic feet and has a lock that you can lock using a key. A hidden storage compartment resides under the floor and the bed. The company says there are other storage opportunities and lockable compartments as well.
By default, the trailer hook is concealed behind a panel for aerodynamic purposes, but you can easily take it off and hook up a trailer weighing up to 11,000 pounds.
