A video showcases the capabilities of the Rivian R1T in the snow

Rivian continues introducing the R1T to us with a video showing the electric pickup being driven in wintertime. The driver goes through a variety of drive modes.

It goes without saying that the Rivian R1T is a very capable off-roader thanks to its enormous torque and impressive road grip. Driving it on freshly fallen snow is particularly interesting to watch, because there is not much content like this on the Internet yet.

The truck offers eight drive modes to choose from, but the driver focuses on All-Purpose and Off-Road Drift. The latter mode sets the suspension height to 300 mm (12”), turns off stability control and results in a stiffer ride optimal for mud and performing drift stunts.

As the name implies, the All Purpose mode is what you are supposed to use for everyday driving on asphalt roads. The ground clearance defaults to its normal value, and the suspension gets tweaked for a more comfortable ride.
