Nuwan Rajapakse, who says he owns this shiny new Rivian R1T, was not afraid of putting his electric pickup truck through a hard test of endurance.
He drove into a river in Mojave, California, and proceeded to cross it rather fast. He never submerged completely, but the depth still exceeded 3 feet at a certain point. Electric cars are designed to withstand such obstacles without needing anything like a snorkel pipe (all ICE cars need one to cross deep waters). Even so, Rajapakse exceeded the manufacturer-rated safe limit at his own risk and emerged unscathed, making his R1T look like an impressive feat of engineering.
