The Time Magazine has drawn up a list of the planet’s 100 most influential companies, and you won’t be finding Tesla Inc. there despite its popularity and news generating potential. There are other EV makes in there, though, including one from China.
The Chinese carmaker – BYD – is featured in the Titans category, while U.S.-based Ford and Rivian fit into the Innovators category. Ford even sports a badge that reads “Electrifying Everything”.
Rivian specializes exclusively in EVs and is getting ready to ship its first production model, the R1T Pickup. As for BYD, it has recently announced a discontinuation of all ICE car production and a shift of focus towards hybrids and all-electric vehicles. The same company also makes, upgrades and produces traction batteries.
