The two tuning shops have rolled out their custom take on the Rivian R1T, landing the battery pickup with exterior modifications and extra ground clearance. Ordering another one like this is possible from U.S. $150,000.
We were unable to find the exact ride height mentioned anywhere, but both SoFlo Customs and Apocalypse have stressed in their press releases that the project proved full of unexpected hurdles and engineering challenges. In particular, the way the steering and chassis are designed made it difficult to change the clearance past the OEM parameters, and custom solutions had to be developed to convey the torque from the e-motors to the wheels.
In the end, the teams had to design a number of components from scratch and find custom solutions to keep the torque vectoring system in working order.
Called the Apocalypse Nirvana, the truck is based on a quad-motor Rivian R1T rated at 847 PS (835 hp / 623 kW).
