A Rivian Forums user citing a ‘reliable source’ claims that the electric carmaker is preparing a new performance version called Ascent for the R1T pickup and the R1S SUV.
If we are to believe the report, the two EVs will end up with minimal exterior updates, including black trim bits and aerodynamic improvements, and get a powertrain rated at 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW) or more.
The manufacturer has yet to comment on this alleged leak.
