Chinese car manufacturer Roewe has debuted Marvel X, a new crossover vehicle with an all-electric drivetrain.
Admittedly, we’ve all seen photos of the car long before the official reveal, so its appearance didn’t exactly make the news. Its name, though – that is another story altogether. Industry experts have voiced concerns that ‘Marvel X’ just might not make it into production due to a brand name collision with the famous superhero comic. Apparently, Marvel didn’t mind after all, and the car got to keep its name.
On the outside, the Roewe Marvel X bears a marked resemblance to the Roewe Vision-E Concept vehicle, which debuted last year. Both are based on the Roewe RX5 platform.
Not much is being revealed about the engine specifications of the new Roewe Marvel X at the moment. The manufacturer claims it can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in four seconds and go as far as 500 kilometers (310 miles) prior to exhausting its batteries.
