The British luxury car brand Rolls-Royce has officially confirmed that its next bulky SUV will be named Cullinan after the world’s biggest diamond found in Africa. The manufacturer has also revealed a few interesting facts about the newcomer.
In particular, it is going to be assembled on the same platform as the next-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom. A scalable aluminum-based chassis comes with an impressive body length constituting 5.5 m (18 ft.). Those who still doubt whether their SUV is going to be long enough may opt for a 6-meter (20 ft.) modification with extended wheelbase.
The hood compartment of the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan conceals a respectable 6.75L V12 gasoline engine with 571 hp coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD.
The manufacturer did mention it was planning to release a hybrid model of Cullinan, but hasn’t provided any specific information so far.
