The kids’ car Rolls-Royce SRH undergoes its first routine maintenance

The British luxury car maker Rolls-Royce has successfully concluded the first routine maintenance of a very special battery-driven car, the Rolls-Royce SRH. The car was built a year ago especially for use in a children’s surgery ward of the St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, England.

The sole purpose of the Rolls-Royce SRH is to help young patients calm down and relax before the surgical intervention. They can even use the car to drive to the surgery block themselves, without adult help. Hospital employees have repeatedly pointed out that this practice has a markedly beneficent effect on the kids’ state of mind.

It is also worth noting that the Rolls-Royce SRH only took 400 hours to draft up, design and produce. The kid’s vehicle packs an electric engine and a 24V battery set which can be charged from a regular wall socket.
