Rolls-Royce Cullinan to remain the only SUV in the range

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce, said that the company wasn’t planning to expand its SUV model range in the foreseeable future. For the time being, the Cullinan is going to remain the only existing member of the Rolls-Royce SUV family.

“I’d never say never, never, never – but we don’t currently have any plans to expand our model line-up any further,” he said.

The first and only Rolls-Royce off-roader debuted in May featuring the same base as the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII sedan. Notable modifications included the installation of brand-new suspension, 4WD and rear-wheel steering.

The vehicle relies on a 12-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine almost 7 liters large to combat the off-road. The hi-end motor can output up to 570 hp and 850 Nm of torque and works in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Options include Drive Mode Select, adaptive suspension, a fridge, a beverage bar, and a set of retractable seats with a table conveniently hidden in the trunk compartment.
