The Opus – one of the most expensive and prestigious pieces of real property in Beverly Hills, California – just found a new owner, who paid nearly 80,000,000 USD for it and got a couple of supercars thrown in for free.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn and Lamborghini Aventador Roadster depicted here aren’t covered in sheet gold, though. Contrary to what one might assume, a mundane vinyl wrap is responsible for the look. Gaudy or not, you can’t deny the cars themselves are gorgeous.
The mansion floor area exceeds 2,000 square meters (21,500 square feet). It includes eleven bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a few kitchen areas, a roomy wine cellar, multiple dining rooms and bars, and a glass waterfall. The Opus also houses a cinema theater for up to fifteen viewers, a wellness center, and a car museum with ten exposition stands. These gold-wrapped Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce will likely be moved there soon.
For the record, the open-top Aventador packs a 6.5-liter V8 rated at 740 hp (552 kW). It needs three seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and doesn’t hit its speed ceiling until 350 km/h (217 mph). The ultra-opulent Dawn sedan comes driven by a V12 TT 6.6 and needs less than five seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph). Its top speed stays capped at 250 km/h (155 mph).
