Meet Landspeed, a limited series of 35 Wraith coupes and 25 Dawn convertibles dedicated to the late George Eyston, a famous British racer that made history with his achievements. All cars are already sold out.
Back in the 1930s, Eyston set multiple world records at the Salt Lake Bonneville. Aside from having a shining motorsports career, he took serious interest in science and even patented several inventions meant to increase engine power through the use of forced induction.
Back to the present day, though. The special edition boasts a dual-tone exterior finish and has a dashboard and a center console adorned with finely reproduced cracks the likes of which cover the entirety of Bonneville Salt Flats. Also found inside are the outlines of the sports car Eyston drove to victory, and the record times. During his last ride, he managed to accelerate to physics-defying 572 km/h (355 miles per hour).
Each Rolls-Royce in the series has the company’s signature Starry Sky ceiling, but with one essential difference: the positions of all LED-based ‘stars’ correspond to the sky on the night of Eyston’s last record.
