Car spotters have managed to make photos of the next-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan as it was being carried over to a different location in Germany. Once out in the market, the luxury-laden vehicle will mainly have to stave off the competition of the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 and the Bentley Flying Spur.
Even though the car is still essentially a camouflage-clad test mule, one can see that it is the rear fascia that gets changed the most.
According to an earlier statement, the car takes advantage of a new lightweight aluminum chassis (the same as the one used by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Phantom) and will enter production in the British town of Goodwood. However, due to new standard equipment and options, the manufacturer says it won’t weigh any less than the previous model.
Engine data remain secret, but a rumor has it that the upcoming Rolls-Royce Ghost gets a 6.6-liter V12.
The sedan series received its last major update four years ago, getting new exterior features, front bumper and LED-based daytime running lights.
