Next-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost spotted out in the open

Car spotters have managed to obtain photos of the upcoming new generation of the Rolls-Royce Ghost luxury sedan/saloon. The car was spotted during wintertime driving tests.

According to other automotive news media, the final production version of the vehicle will emerge by 2021. Reportedly, the car will utilize the same chassis as the current Phantom.

Based on the images, the new Ghost gets revised bumpers, larger headlights, a different-looking radiator grille and reshaped rear lights. Some of these features appear borrowed directly from the Phantom series.

There is little that we can say about the interior right now, but it will likely get a more significant overhaul than the exterior. As such, it will probably make use of top-grade trimming materials, multiple state-of-the-art driver aids, a high-end multimedia system and the Gallery feature (like the one the Phantom has).

The current-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost ships with a 6.6-liter V12 engine on board, producing between 562 and 604 hp (420 – 450 kW) depending on the particular trim version.
