Rolls-Royce has released another short movie dedicated to the upcoming new generation of its Ghost saloon. The company claims that the luxury vehicle will take advantage of a sophisticated suspension design that will make it more comfortable than ever.
Aside from AWD and 4WS, the car will benefit from Planar Suspension, an in-house development that brings together multiple hardware and software solutions to guarantee the smoothest ride possible. It involves transversely mounted wishbones and video cameras monitoring the road quality in real time. Interestingly, the transmission of the car can also pre-select gears based on GPS data.
The next-gen RR Ghost will switch to using a largely new aluminum chassis that will lend it a different appearance. The tech and equipment will mostly stay unchanged, though. We will learn more when the model debuts this fall.
