The next-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost is right behind the corner, but the manufacturer cannot seem to dispense with the mystery.
The latest video teaser is nothing if insightful: all you can see is the (barely changed) silhouette of the luxury saloon, the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament, and LED-based daytime running lights.
Don’t let the conservative exterior styling mislead you, however. The 2021 Ghost is a brand-new vehicle based on the same aluminum chassis as the Phantom and Cullinan models. It packs a redesigned 6.75-liter V12 engine, smart suspension, patented noise insulation and Illuminated Fascia styled similarly to the Star Headliner ceiling. In fact, when all similarities and differences are considered, the Spirit of Ecstasy and umbrellas in door pockets are among the few things that carry over.
Despite all the luxury, the newest Rolls-Royce Ghost aims for laconic design devoid of fancy ornamentation.
