Following a long series of teasers, Rolls-Royce has finally taken the wraps off its 2021MY Ghost saloon. Don’t let the looks fool you – the car is almost completely new both in terms of body and tech, and comes with the starting price tag of U.S. $332,500.
The new generation uses an aluminum chassis and packs a 6.75-liter V12 modernized to deliver 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. This makes it 1 hp and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) superior to the predecessor. An eight-speed auto transmission sends the power to all four wheels via a 4WS system. Getting from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) only takes 4.8 seconds, and the top speed is clamped at 250 km/h (155 mph).
The new Ghost also boasts a special suspension design meant to deliver the maximum comfort possible, superb noise insulation, servo-powered doors that not only close, but also open automatically, a sophisticated air filtering system, a multimedia and a heads-up display.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost feature list goes on to mention laser LED headlights and a plethora of driving assists, but you will probably be better off just watching the attached video if you would like to learn more.
