Spofec cranks the Rolls-Royce Ghost up to 685 PS

Spofec – a division of Novitec Group dedicated to Rolls-Royce tuning – has unveiled its own upmarket take on the already opulent Rolls-Royce Ghost.

The sedan wound up with a revised aero package, lowered suspension, and a power upgrade. While all of the above may sound a bit too sporty for luxury car enjoyers, let us not forget that the latest generation of the Ghost can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, a rather sporty figure straight from the factory. That, and the end result of the tuning strikes us as rather exquisite this time around, and in no way tacky or cheap.

Through a number of powertrain manipulations, Spofec persuades the stock 6.75-liter V12 to churn out 114 metric horsepower and 135 Newton-meters of torque more than it usually does. The total thus reaches 685 PS (676 hp / 504 kW) and 985 Nm (726 lb-ft). Sprint time goes down to 4.5 seconds, and while the top speed stays at its usual 250 km/h (155 mph), we wouldn’t really care to see the luxury-laden Ghost go any faster.

Aside from a new body kit, the sedan features a rather fitting set of Vossen 22-inch forged wheels and rides 40 mm (1.6 in) lower than stock thanks to a special lowering module.

What’s also important, anyone ordering the Spofec treatment for their Ghost may opt for a full interior makeover. The example on the photos has a black leather cabin with orange highlights all around.

Prices remain undisclosed, but whoever buys a £250,000 car probably doesn’t need to ask.
