This 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom (Mk.7) is currently up for grabs in Russia for an asking price of 75,000,000 RUB, or about 1,005,750 USD at current conversion rates, making it more expensive than new.
The main selling point is the armored body, which should provide reasonable protection against bullets and explosions. The car is black with a beige interior and has only 3,416 km (2,122 miles) on the clock. The seller goes as far as to claim it was driven exclusively in warmer seasons and fine weather.
Power comes from a standard 6.8-liter V12 rated at 460 PS (454 hp / 338 kW), which uses a six-speed A/T to drive the rear axle. The stock car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds and proceeds to a top speed of 240 km/h (149 miles per hour), but we would imagine this armored example to be a bit slower on the uptake.
This is Russia’s most expensive used Rolls-Royce on record, but new ones have been known to cost even more sometimes. For instance, a dealership put up a five-year-old Phantom Drophead Coupe up for sale this spring that had special engravings, a bi-color cabin, and zero mileage. The asking price was 92,000,000 RUB ($1,233,720 USD).
