Luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce has introduced the Wraith Eagle VIII Collection, an exclusive series based on its Wraith grand tourer, dedicated to the first non-stop trans-Atlantic flight.
Exactly 100 years ago, Arthur Whitten Brown and John Alcock have conducted a non-stop flight from the city of St. John’s, Canada, all the way to Clifden, Ireland. Getting ready for the unprecedented aerial journey, the British pilots have remodeled a Vickers bomber by fitting its with two 20.3-liter Rolls-Royce engines rated at 350 horsepower (261 kilowatts) each.
The Wraith Eagle VIII Collection sports an exclusive body paint along with an original radiator grille that looks a bit like the cowling of an airplane engine.
The cabin greets the viewer with a mixture of grey and black leather, Rolls-Royce’s trademark Starry Sky ceiling, engraved audio speakers, luxury trim throughout, and a resplendent dashboard adorned with eucalyptus, gold, silver, and copper inserts.
