Rolls-Royce Bespoke has unveiled the Wraith Kryptos, a limited run of 50 ultra-deluxe coupes inspired by the idea of cryptography. This is evident from the cars’ futuristic livery, which Bespoke claims contains a hidden code.
The Spirit of Ecstasy boasts green enamel inserts and etchings in this special edition. The wheels have greyish spokes and green rims, the air intakes in the front bumper are new, and there are a green and a grey stripe running down the car body. The main paint appears to be Anthracite at the first glance, but a closer look reveals bluish-green mica specks embedded in it.
The headrests inside no longer bear the RR logo, instead sporting more of the mysterious code. The same applies to the Starry Sky ceiling, which evokes the themes of microchips and data streams. The doors boast a matching finish, and new side sill covers wraps up the image.
Buyers of the car are invited to try and decipher the code and share their findings via an app called Whispers, which is only available for downloading to confirmed Wraith Kryptos owners.
The company claims that right now, only two people in the entire world know the code: Catherine Lehman, its author, and Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of the company, who holds the key to the cipher in his safe.
