Rolls-Royce delivers an exclusive Amethyst Droptail

The Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail is a one-off commission completed by the British luxury carmaker for an anonymous client.

The car wears a two-tone exterior finish inspired by a plant known as globe amaranth and the purple color of the amethyst gemstone. The arches are occupied by 22-inch aluminum wheels finished in a lilac shade. The radiator grille is hand-polished, and the whole exterior took a team of professionals more than 50 hours to tone-match to perfection.

A peek under the grille reveals a lower air intake composed of 202 hand-polished stainless-steel parts. The rear end has a large wooden panel that the manufacturer advertises as ‘the world’s only untreated wood surface producing downforce.’

Dark wood and two-tone leather in the passenger space goes alongside soft purple tones. The middle section of the dashboard comes from Vacheron Constantin, a Geneva-based luxury watchmaker, and is also hand-crafted.
