Rolls-Royce has filed an application for ‘Droptail’, the name that Carbuzz believes heralds the coming of a whole lineup of exclusive vehicles.
Some buyers of the British marque’s cars find themselves wishing for more customization opportunities. The company created a special division called Coachbuild five years ago to cater to the needs of such clients. Its first work was a $12,000,000 Sweptail one-off, followed by a trio of Boat Tail models (see the gallery and the video). One of the Boat Tails cost its buyer around $28,000,000, another one was shown to the general public without the price, and another one still was purchased by a customer who opted for complete secrecy.
Not that there is still no official confirmation that ‘Droptail’ refers to an exclusive car lineup. Until we hear from Rolls-Royce, your guess is as good as ours.
