Rolls-Royce Ghost converted into a hearse makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?

Italian coachbuilder Biemme has revealed its latest project: a hearse based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost (see video). Playfully named the Ghoster, the car has 18 audio speakers on board summing up to 1,300 watts of power – just because you’re dead doesn’t mean you don’t deserve some quality music on your way to the afterlife, it seems.

The passenger part of the cabin remains stock. A special tubular space frame gets grafted to the rear end of the car to accommodate the coffin compartment. The wheelbase gets stretched quite a bit, resulting in a sedan that’s both much longer and taller than the original.

The stainless-steel platform in the back is power-assisted for loading convenience. The rest of the space is trimmed with leather and lined with wood. Adjustable LED lighting is provided for proper ambiance.

Power for the eyebrow-raising Rolls-Royce comes from its usual V12 rated at 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW). The pricing is unknown, but you can always contact Biemme for details.
