An enthusiast from the United States got his hands on an elegant Rolls-Royce Ghost and felt that it would look less boring riding on garish wheels 30 inches in diameter. To maximize the clown circus aesthetic, he also repainted the entire body in red and raised the suspension for the giant rims to (mostly) fit in the arches.
The result is posted on the Ace1Whips channel on YouTube. As you can see for yourself in the video, the ride quality clearly wasn’t among the priorities here. The massive 5.4-meter (212.6-inch) long ride sways like a boat and locks its rear wheels when turning, barely staying in control of the road.
The visual aspect of the build seems to have been a bigger success, although we don’t presume to be connoisseurs of this particular style. The entire chrome trim of the British classic has been nicely preserved, and the same apparently goes for its black leather cabin. Granted, it’s no longer the understated vehicle that it once was. In fact, multiple commenters on CarBuzz referred to it as a “ghetto” car, and that’s what it appears to be.
What it used to be, on the other hand, is a first-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost Series I. It went on sale in 2009 packing a V12 rated at 570 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) took mere five seconds despite its ultra-soft suspension and considerable bulk. The production of the first generation ended in 2014.
