The customization department of Rolls-Royce has unveiled another bespoke creation with the company’s long-wheelbase Phantom sedan at the base. Built for a customer in Japan, the Project Sakura Blossom took six months to complete.
It’s now the world’s first and only Phantom with a Sakura tree embroidered on the ceiling. It’s also the first Phantom in existence to sport a new stitching pattern specifically chosen to render the falling flower petals as realistically as possible. There are more than 250,000 stitches in total, all meticulously applied by hand.
The company says it received the commission from the client at a personal meeting three years ago. The design was finalized shortly afterwards, but took years to implement.
