The customization department of Rolls-Royce has just unveiled the Semaphore, a one-off Spectre coupe boasting an unusual yellow finish. The company – which believes such designs should be popular with its younger audiences – will be bringing the car to the Pebble Beach event starting on August 16.
The exterior finish is known as the Bespoke Semaphore Yellow. The hood cover stands out thanks with its “Marbled Paint Spill” graphics applied by hand over 160+ hours of meticulous work. Per the automaker, this shade of yellow is supposed to remind us of the sun in Southern California, while the silvery streaks should put us in the mind of the mountaintops at the northern border of the state.
The interior does its best to utilize the same combination of yellow, grey and white. The digital dash interface is white, for example, and even the wood accents come painted in a silvery grey that contains bits of genuine silver for a particularly shiny look. Kick plates with “Pebble Beach 2024” covers on them round off the rather experimental styling effort.
Rolls-Royce has said nothing about the bits under the hood, so we are going to assume that the stock 585-PS (577-hp / 430-kW) powertrain stays intact. Once fully charged, the Spectre gets up to 520 km (323 miles) of WLTP-rated range out of its battery pack.
