Based on the Daihatsu Hijet microvan and exhibited at a recent motorhome expo in Japan, the AZ-MAX k-ai is recognized by its creators as the world’s tiniest camping van.
Despite its extremely compact dimensions, the car can accommodate up to four people. There is a sofa that you can unfold into a bed for two, a table, a fresh water tank with a tap, a slide-out mattress, and a powerful electric battery that can warm up the interior when the main car engine is off. You can raise the roof – and you will have to if you want to stretch.
The AZ-MAX k-ai ships in FWD and AWD versions, both sourcing their power from a miniature 0.6-liter engine.
The micro-campervan costs slightly above 25,000 USD.
