The world is chock full of supercars and hypercars nowadays, isn’t it? Not if you consider that many implausible, physics-defying concepts will never see the daylight. The GMA T.50, now – that’s a refreshingly real extreme racer.
The new official photos and a video by Gordon Murray Automotive show the monstrous ride on its track test day at the Top Gear racetrack in Dunsfold, England. As you can see, the car is real, does all the crazy things we expected it to be able to do, and is underway to production FAST.
Powering the car is a 4.0-liter V12 capable of 654 PS (645 hp / 481 kW). An enormous fan at the rear end assists the engine by adding momentum and – much more importantly – literally squeezing the car down to the asphalt hard by doing 7,000 revolutions per minute.
Mass production is scheduled to begin in 2022.
