The Saab 9-5 (featured in the video) never saved its manufacturer from going bankrupt, but it is still sad to see one just standing around gathering dust in a closed dealership in Massachusetts, USA.
Village Saab stopped offering new vehicles for sale ten years ago and tried to survive on refurbishing and selling used Saab cars until finally shutting down in 2017. As of today, its premises are used only as a parking lot for another adjacent car dealership, which incidentally belongs to the same owner.
You can see Saab corporate design elements throughout the showroom, but the most immediately noticeable detail comes in the form of a solitary Saab 9‑5 Aero Turbo6 XWD sitting next to the window. Back in the time, these cars used to come with a 2.8-liter V6 engine rated at 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW), six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive system. The year of manufacture of this specific example remains as uncertain as its future.
Saab went insolvent ten years ago. Multiple companies, notably including Koenigsegg and Spyker, considered buying it out of debt, but it never happened. As of right now, the only Saab still in production is the 9-3 EV, an electric sedan rebranded by the Chinese automaker NEVS and meant exclusively for the domestic market of China.
