Most motorhome owners do not strive to make their vehicles look and feel unique, prioritizing utility and features instead. This is perfectly understandable, yet Self-Build Campervans has spent nearly 20 years building this masterpiece of a Saab 95.
The original station wagon saw the daylight in the distant year 1959 and could accommodate up to seven passengers despite being only 169 inches (4.3 meters) long. The two rear seats were children-sized and rotated to face away from the rest of the cabin.
Most earlier Saab 95 models drew their power from a 841cc, three-cylinder engine. This particular one, however, made use of a 1.5-liter four-pot mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
The buyer of this car received it with a stripped-clean interior and had it turned into a cozy and highly special camper, installing even the interior lighting and 12V sockets, among many other things. Watch the video for an overview of this unusual, but interesting project.
