The Maxus Mifa 9 is a Chinese electric van for China and Europe

SAIC Group has unveiled the Maxus Mifa 9, a battery-powered six-seat van with 90 kWh of power storage and 520 km (323 miles) of range. The company plans to export it to Europe as well.

The van is 5,270 mm long with 3,200 mm between the axles. All seats offer power adjustments, and you can simultaneously move the middle and the back rows forward to free up some extra trunk space.

Aside from the adjustments, all six seats offer heating, ventilation and massage functions, and come with separate armrests and displays for every passenger. If you also count the displays built into the middle-row armrests and the ones on the dashboard, there are 10 in total.

Even in its minimal trim, the vehicle has everything needed for semi-autonomous driving and can even change lanes if necessary. Power comes from a single motor rated at 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW). A long-range version capable of 650 km (404 miles) of uninterrupted driving should be added to the lineup in a few years’ time, the company says.

Sales in China will begin in May 2022. Prices range from 269,900 to 379,900 Yuan.
