SAIC-owned car marque Maxus has presented an updated range of Interstellar pickup trucks. Prices in China start as low as $12,800.
The entry-level model, Interstellar L, is targeted towards businesses and generally replicates SAIC’s own Maxus T70. The exterior and the cabin are nearly identical between the two unless you count a new 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen. Power can be provided by either a naturally aspirated petrol engine with 160 PS (158 hp /118 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) or a twin-turbo diesel with 143 PS (141 hp / 105 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft).
The range-topping Interstellar H has also received an update and now ships with additional body protection, a winch, a snorkel and special tires as standard equipment. It starts from the equivalent of U.S. $36,800.
