The S7 supercar makes a comeback

The United States-based car manufacturer Saleen Automotive has announced it would issue a limited series of the S7 racing supercars the production of which had ended in 2009. A grand total of seven cars worth U.S. $1,000,000 each will roll off the conveyor belt.

The new series is titled Le Mans Edition in honor of numerous endurance races won by Saleen vehicles in the past.

The rear-driven racing coupe Saleen S7 gets a 7-liter twin-turbo V8 with 1,300 horsepower. It also gets a carbon body mounted on heavy-duty steel chassis, a rear-axle differential system with improved traction, 19-inch forged front wheels, and 20-inch rear wheels.
