SCG shows the Boot Buggy in some desert action

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has released footage of its upcoming Boot, a dune buggy stylized after the iconic Hurst Baja Boot that came out half a century ago.

The all-terrain vehicle comes powered by a 6.2-liter engine of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which gives it 659 PS (650 hp, or 485 kW). The clearance stops just a little short of 400 millimeters (16 inches), and the suspension travel exceeds 480 mm (19”).

When the car ships, it will be available with such paid options as even better suspension, racing-grade transmission and brakes, a second fuel tank, GPS, and ventilated helmets for both occupants. Outfitted to the maximum specification, the new SCG Boot will be fully compliant with the regulations of the Baja 1000 endurance race.
