The SCG 007S is a Le Mans racer you can drive to a supermarket

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has announced a new model named the 007S, essentially a version of the prototype racecar SCG 007 LMH drivable on the streets throughout the United States (restrictions may apply in Europe, UK, Middle East, and Japan).

Pipo Moteurs has equipped the original racer with a purpose-built 3.5-liter dual-turbo V8 that hits the wheels with 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The company promises to crank the ‘civilian’ version to 1,419 PS (1,400 hp / 1,044 kW), a figure made all the more impressive by the fact that the car will weigh around 1,270 kilos (2,800 lbs).

The 007S will get the same basic aerodynamic kit as the original, adjustable ride height, compressed air jacks for quick swapping between regular and slick racing tires, a stability control system, and ABS / torque management settings for track day use.

The interior is meant for three people, which includes the driver in the middle front position and two passengers in the second row.

The 007S has gone through multiple exterior redesigns prior to production, but the latest two examples depicted here are final and real; one of them is already being tested on public roads.

The production run will be limited to 24 units priced at $2.3 million each. Shipments will be effected within two years from collecting all the pre-orders.
