Seat Ateca facelift teased through video

Seat has released a short clip showing the facelifted Ateca crossover SUV. The car will debut on June 15, 2020 with reworked exterior, cabin, multimedia and engine range.

The only teaser vid available so far shows precious little, but there are some immediately noticeable differences compared to the pre-facelift version. Among other things, the “Ateca” caption uses a different font now, the taillights look different and now incorporate dynamic turn blinkers, and the lower front bumper is also new.

From the technical point of view, the SUV will be available with the Leon eHybrid powertrain composed of a 1.4-liter turbo engine, an electric motor and a six-speed DCT transmission. The Leon gets 204 hp (152 kW) out of this setup; it remains to be confirmed whether the Ateca will get the same power rating.

The previously available engines, including the 1.0 and 1.4 TSI gasoline mills and 1.6 / 2.0 TDI diesels, will stay in the lineup.

Finally, customers will be able to opt for the JE Design Package, which includes fender flares, auxiliary lighting, a 20mm (0.8-inch) lift kit, and a rear spoiler.
