Seat has officially introduced Cupra – a new standalone brand for all sports cars it may release in the future. The brand will be introduced to the wide public on February 22, while its first vehicles will debut at the Geneva International Motor Show starting on March 8th, 2018.
The new standalone brand is going to continue using the Cupra logo Seat registered a year ago. You could see it on the Leon Cupra R hot hatch, the highest-performing Seat vehicle to date.
Speaking of the Leon Cupra R, it came to the market with a 2.0-liter, 310-horsepower V4 engine, could accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.8 seconds and eventually reach 250 km/h (155 mph). A limited series of only 799 cars have been produced.
The next vehicle to don the new Seat Cupra brand logo is going to be the high-performance modification of the Ateca SUV.
