First official photos depicting the brand-new Seat Tarraco crossover SUV have appeared online. For those who missed that part, the company also revealed how its name was chosen.
Apparently, everyone who felt like giving the new Seat SUV a name was invited to register on the website and submit a suggestion or two. A total of over 145,000 people have participated in the naming, landing Seat with 133,000+ variants to choose from. A public poll has been held for the four most popular names – Tarraco, Alboran, Aranda и Avila – and the first of these has won with over 52,000 votes.
As we told in an earlier news, Tarraco was an ancient Roman colony on the Spanish coast where the modern city of Tarragona now stands. Seat Tarraco, on the other hand, isn’t a city at all. It’s a seven-seat crossover SUV based on the MQB car platform and scheduled for market release in late 2018.
