The new crossover SUV Cupra Ateca – and the first vehicle to be released by the brand – just debuted in Barcelona, Spain. Cupra is a recently introduced sub-brand of SEAT dedicated exclusively to the high-performance cars.
The first Cupra Ateca SUV comes equipped with a two-liter turbo engine with 300 hp. According to an official representative of the company, it can accelerate the vehicle 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.4 seconds and ultimately get it going at 245 km/h (152 mph) – not bad at all for an SUV, that’s for sure.
The new Cupra Ateca comes packed to the brim with hi-tech driver aids that should make steering it a safer and more pleasant experience. Among other things, there are several selectable drive modes designed for particular road conditions, which automatically adjust various parameters of the engine, suspension, and other units.
